Visited La Regata, quite by chance,for the first time with a friend a little under a year ago and we both had an excellent meal. I visited again last Friday and was greeted and served by Jamie who remarkably seemed to remember me from 2010. On that occasion I had a whole Brill, my favourite dish, and it was excellent. Last Friday no Brill was available so I had some very tasty Pork Loin Steaks.Jamie said it was possible that Brill would be on the menu the following day, Saturday & it was, having first taken the trouble to phone me to confirm. This time,and living & working in the C.I., where Brill is a regular favourite of many, with great Scallops as a Starter, I have to say that this huge fillet was probably the best fish, excellently cooked and prepared, at a very reasonable cost, that I have ever tasted. Praise indeed, but well earned. Jamie and all of the other staff are super efficient yet not "pushy"; they are all extremely polite, very friendly in a restaurant with a great ambience - all qualities very hard to find these days in the UK. Thanks to you all - I will be back (that's a threat!) and have already spread the "news" to friends and work colleagues. You should all be proud of what you have created at that place and wish you all of the best for continuing success. Thanks again - Maurice 

 

 

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU FOR A LOVELY MEAL MY WIFE CLARE & I KEVIN HAD LAST NIGHT. 29-01-11 WE ATE AT 6.45-7PM WE HAVE BEEN DINNING AT LA REGATA FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND WE HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL OR SERVICE SO YOU CAN GIVE YOUR SELF'S A PAT ON THE BACK WELL DONE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK .I MUST SAY YOU AS THE OWNER'S MUST BE PROUD OF YOUR STAFF. Have visited this restaurant numerous times and the food and atmosphere are truely great. There is a huge tapas menu. Nothing is overpriced and the service is superb. Love it! 

Thank you for a wonderful meal, we all enjoyed your restaurant. Its unlikely that we will be in Southampton again for some time but will certainly be recommending to any of our friends visiting your city.

Having eaten at La Regatta on a couple of occasions I have to say the food is as good as any I have tasted. On our most recent visit the Mahon steak was by far the best I have ever tasted and was so succulent a spoon rather than a steak knife could have been used to eat it with! 

Definately a regular on our list now, especially with the ambience and 'buzz' that is rarely experienced north of the Mediterranean. 

Some friends of ours were staying in a local hotel, and we decided to meet up at La Regata, despite not having eaten there before. Both the food and the service was amazing, you coped brilliantly with 4 adults and 7 children of varying ages, service was with a smile all night long and you made us feel really welcome. Food was great and very reasonably priced. Thank you so much.
